Mr. Wei became very active in soccer 4 years ago when his daughter discovered the game. After enrolling her in a Gryphons Youth Development class and observing the training she was being given, Mr. Wei signed her up for a team where she was able to play with older girls. Asked why Mr. Wei is on the board of the Gryphons Soccer Club he responded:

"The Gryphons has been a great community of coaches, parents, and players for us, and it feels like a second family. It has given my daughter the opportunity to play a sport she loves, meet great friends, and build confidence in herself. When the opportunity came up in 2008 to be more involved in the club, I knew I would do anything I could to help the club prosper."
