GSC will be offering two Player Development clinics in spring 2010 for our Team Academy players. These clinics are offered free-of-charge to our players. To learn more about our Player Development programs or our Team Academy, email our Director of Coaching.
Striker Training
Our striker training is open to twelve Academy players at a time. It focuses on shooting technique as well as crossing and finishing with speed and accuracy, while improving composure in front of goal. Coach Jaime Gomez will be conducting these sessions. Please contact Jaime to enquire if there are spots available.
During our 2010 spring season this clinic will run
- every Monday from March 15 to May 31, 4pm to 5pm at Laurie Meadows
- every other Friday from April 9 to June 4, 6pm to 8pm at Hillsdale High School grass field
Goalkeeping Training
Our goalkeeping clinic is offered to Academy players by invitation only, that is, coaches will recommend specific players who can benefit from this training. This clinic covers the fundamentals of shot-stopping, positioning, footwork, handling, distributing, crosses, and breakaways. Tactics include situational play and communication. Coach Nemanja Colovic will be conducting these sessions.
During our 2010 spring season, this clinic will run twice a week from March 14, 2010 to May 30, 2010
- every Tuesday from 6pm to 7.15pm at the Hillsdale High School grass field
- every Sunday from 9am to 10.15am at the Hillsdale High School turf field
